Those of you who have visited have complained ‘there’s nothing for me to do but read your pathetic ramblings’.
Okay, okay, fair enough. My ramblings are pathetic. Which makes those of you who read them even more pathetic. Wait, should I be mocking my visitors?
No, I should be giving them something. Good point. I never was a very good host. Here’s a little treat. Chapter 1 of the Revolutionary Man.
Now be warned: it has absolutely no edits. No spell checking, no grammer, nothing. If you wish to read it, go to ‘Downloads’ and pick ‘Chapter One’.
And quit whining.

After much consideration, and after much input from my adoring fans (ala my friends, my wife, and my mom), I’ve decided to part ways with Gardenia Press. The situation just wasn’t right for me. In fact, I don’t think it was right for me since the beginning.
I don’t want to sound arrogant (hmmm) but I always thought Nathaniel needed a little more exposure than Gardenia could offer. I’m sure every novelist feels this way when they publish with a small press (with the exception of Literary writers, I’m sure, who probably feel a sense of pride that only 3 people read their book).
I’ve already sent out Nathaniel to Daw books. I’ve come really close with them in the past, so hopefully with the new edits, a kick-assed cover letter, and a brief history of Nathaniel, this time I’ll get a publishing contract.

So I’m off on my own. No Gardenia Press….no contract. Cut loose. This is a good thing though. Really, it is. Gardenia was never quite right for me — a case of my heart overruling my brain.
Now, I have to try to execute the new plan. That’s right, the new plan. I’ve received Maw of the Defiler back from the editor. Fabulous. This sucker is ready for publication. Of course, there’s also Nathaniel, which was already slated for publication so I think I can find a buyer for that. And my newest, The Nameless, is something a little different.
The Nameless has two agents that have requested to see it. I’ve gotten by the slush piles so hopefully something good will come back.
